How it works

Your phone. Your Telegram account. Nothing in between.

Your phone talks directly to Telegram; Keepix has no server in between. Backed-up files live in a private channel inside your own Telegram account, so the storage is yours and reachable from any phone signed in to that account.

Four steps

From sign-in to your first backup.

  1. Step 1

    Sign in with Telegram

    Phone number, the login code Telegram sends, and the two-step password if one is set. It must be an existing Telegram account; the app cannot create one.

  2. Step 2

    See everything in one timeline

    The gallery shows your camera roll and everything already backed up, merged and sorted by when each photo was taken. Looking at the library uploads nothing.

  3. Step 3

    Back up what you choose

    One photo or a selection. The original file goes up, never a compressed copy.

  4. Step 4

    Use it anywhere

    Browse, make albums, replay months as stories, download or delete. A second phone signed in to the same account sees the same library and the same albums.

Where your files live

A private channel in your own account.

☁️ Keepix Unlimited Cloud Storage

Keepix creates a private, muted channel inside your Telegram account and keeps every backup there. It shows in your chat list like any other chat. Deleting it deletes the backups.

One message per file

Each backup is one Telegram message carrying the original file with its real name. The caption holds the display name and a machine-readable line with the capture time, width, height, size and a short hash.

Albums and the index, in the same channel

Albums are kept in a manifest file inside the channel, and a snapshot of the library index lets a new phone restore the whole library, albums included.

No Keepix server

The app embeds TDLib, Telegram's own client library, so your photos and files go straight to Telegram with nothing in the path. Your Telegram session on the phone is encrypted with a random 256-bit key kept in the Android Keystore or the iOS Keychain.

Devices

Two phones, one library.

Sign in on a second phone and the same photos and albums are there. Android and iPhone, one account. The Recycle Bin is the exception: it is kept per phone and does not sync.
