Keepix is free. Telegram sets no cap on the total you can store in your account, only a per-file limit of 2 GB, or 4 GB with Telegram Premium. The allowance is Telegram's and can change, which is why we say “no total cap” rather than promise it forever. A paid Plus tier is designed but cannot be bought yet; nothing in the app is locked behind it today.

In a private, muted channel inside your own Telegram account, called ☁️ Keepix Unlimited Cloud Storage, with one message per file. Your phone talks directly to Telegram through TDLib, Telegram's own client library; Keepix runs no servers and never receives your photos. The channel shows in your chat list like any other chat, and deleting it deletes the backups.

You need an existing Telegram account; the app cannot create one. If your number has no account yet, create one in the official Telegram app, then sign in here. Premium is optional and only raises the per-file limit from 2 GB to 4 GB.

Deleting the app or switching phones changes nothing: sign in again and the library and albums come back, because albums and the library index are stored in the channel. Deleting the ☁️ Keepix Unlimited Cloud Storage channel in Telegram deletes the backups. The Recycle Bin is the one thing that stays on the phone; it does not move with you.

No. The exact original file is uploaded with its real file name, for example IMG_4021.HEIC, never a compressed copy. On iPhone, edits made in Photos and the motion part of a Live Photo are not included. Memories playback is the exception: cloud-only photos play at thumbnail quality and videos show as a still frame.

Not yet. Every backup starts from your tap: one photo, or a selection, with a live percentage in the viewer and one progress notification for a batch. Automatic backup is planned. On Android a running backup continues in the background with a notification; on iPhone it shows as a Live Activity, and on iOS below 26 it pauses about 30 seconds after you leave the app and resumes when you return.

No. Keepix is an independent app that uses Telegram's own client library, TDLib, to talk to your account. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Telegram. Telegram's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy apply to your account, and you accept them when you sign in.
